Philippe d'Encausse

Philippe d'Encausse (born March 24, 1967 in Clermont-Ferrand ) is a former French pole vaulter .

In 1988 he was ninth at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Budapest and eighth at the Olympic Games in Seoul .

In 1989 he was ninth at the European Indoor Championships in The Hague and won bronze at the Francophonie Games . Eighth place at the 1990 European Indoor Championships in Glasgow was followed by a victory at the 1991 Mediterranean Games .

At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona and the World Athletics Championships in 1993 in Stuttgart, he was eliminated in qualification.

His father Hervé d'Encausse was also successful as a pole vaulter.
