Phillip Goodhand-Tait

Phillip Goodhand-Tait (born January 3, 1945 in Hull , Yorkshire ) is a British singer-songwriter .

In 1961 he founded the Stormsville Shakers , then in 1968 Circus . For both bands, but also for others like The Love Affair , he wrote some hits back in the 1960s.

From 1971 Phillip Goodhand-Tait released solo albums as a singer / songwriter, which made him known internationally, as well as the music for the film Universal Soldier with George Lazenby . His mostly emotional songs were u. a. recorded by musicians like Gene Pitney , Larry Williams and Roger Daltrey . He toured with bands like Deep Purple , Thin Lizzy or 10cc and with musicians like Elton John , Lou Reed , Bob Marley , Chris de Burgh and other well-known greats on the international music scene.

From 1980, Phillip Goodhand-Tait also became a TV producer. He has produced programs for numerous television programs with bands such as Uriah Heep , Jethro Tull , Ten Years After , Steppenwolf , UFO and many other bands and solo artists.

In 1999 Phillip Goodhand-Tait published 48 children's stories around the character Green Ted, which he invented .

In 2003 the Stormsville Shakers reunited and sold out concerts.

In 2006 and 2010, Phillip Goodhand-Tait musically accompanied the readings of the Bochum writer Wolfgang Welt .
