The Piana is a ferry of the French shipping company La Méridionale that was put into service in 2011 . It is used on the route from Marseille to Bastia .

history

The Piana was built under hull number 468 in the Brodosplit shipyard in Split and was launched on November 24, 2010. The delivery to La Méridionale took place on December 13, 2011. In the same month, the ship began the ferry service between Marseille and Bastia. The Piana cost around 150 million US dollars to build, making it the most expensive Brodosplit ship to date.

The Piana is the largest ship in the La Méridionale fleet and is used by the shipping company in night traffic.

Furnishing

In addition to various common rooms, the Piana has two bars, a play area for children and a cinema. In addition to the main dining room Le Piana with fixed table times, the ship also has a self-service restaurant called Le Palombaggia .

On board the Piana there are cabins for up to 700 passengers, the total number of passengers is a maximum of 750. The cabins are on decks 8 and 9 of the ship.
