The Piasecki H-16 was a tandem helicopter from the Piasecki Helicopter Corporation . The first flight took place in 1953.

Furnishing

The first prototype had a 4 meter high stern that contained two P&W radial engines . The second prototype had two shaft turbines . To improve flight stability, two horizontal fins were initially provided, which were later supplemented by end caps. The voluminous fuselage was supported by a main landing gear with double tires and a tail landing gear with double tires .
