description
The double-pane armor is made of bronze . It consists of two discs of the same size that are similar to a shield . They have a diameter of 19.7 cm. The shields have an iron lining and an iron border . The middle of both shields are often decorated with a picture of a mythical animal , or with thick rivets , which has long legs and a head in the shape of a duck . The plates were attached to the shoulder and trunk with a leather shoulder strap. The armor also includes a neck guard made of bronze, which has a diameter of about 18.4 cm. This type of armor was used by the hill tribes of central Italy in the fight against Rome and was extremely rare.
