The Pichogen River is a 56 km long right tributary of the Mattawitchewan River in the north of the Canadian province of Ontario .
The Pichogen River rises 1.5 km south of Little Pichogen Lake at an altitude of about 380 m . The headwaters are located in the area of the Canadian Shield in the north of the Algoma District . It flows mainly in a northerly direction. The Upper Lake Pichogen and Pichogen Lake are located on its upper reaches. The Pichogen River finally flows into the Mattawitchewan River, 40 miles above its mouth in the Missinaibi River .
