Pichon-Parat was a French car body manufacturer. The company was based in Sens .
Pichon-Parat developed, among other things, a convertible version of the Renault Frégate and limousine bodies for the Renault Dauphine . There were also sedans for Salmson in 1955 and Cadillac in 1956, as well as numerous body shapes for the French manufacturers Peugeot , Panhard and Citroën .
In 1957 Pichon-Parat manufactured a sports car on the chassis of a BMW 507 with the chassis number 70.024. The futuristic design of the vehicle came from Raymond Loewy . Loewy and Pichon-Parat worked together several times in the following years, for example on a one-off Cadillac that Loewy had designed for their own use, and in 1963 on two prototypes for the financially troubled US car manufacturer Studebaker based on the Avanti.
The Lancia Aurelia B20 Pichon-Parat is also a vehicle from this manufacturer.
The last self-designed models were coupés and convertibles based on the Citroën DS in 1965 , mostly on a shortened chassis.
Izoart Pichon-Parat from 1955
The 1955 Izoart Pichon-Parat 4CV was a sports car made by the company based on the Renault 4CV . The vehicle was a two-door coupe and had gull-wing doors. The car was used in racing and thus gained a certain degree of popularity. He started in various rallies and also in the Mille Miglia in 1956.
