El Fraile (Eng. Monk ), Cerro del Fraile , Cerro de los Frailes or Pico del los Frailes is part of a volcanic chain and the highest point of the Sierra del Cabo de Gata in the Parque Natural de Cabo de Gata-Níjar in southeastern Spain.
Like the entire mountain range, the Fraile and its crater remains were originally under water. The last eruption took place around 8 million years ago.
The highest point can be reached without a path.
