Pierre Tucoo-Chala
Pierre Tucoo-Chala (born April 20, 1924 in Bordeaux , † January 23, 2015 in Pau ) was a French historian and Medievalist , specialist in Gaston III. (Foix) and the province of Béarn .
life and work
Tucoo-Chala completed his habilitation in 1959 at the Sorbonne under Yves Renouard with the writings Gaston Fébus et la vicomté de Béarn 1343-1391 (Bordeaux 1959, Pau 1981) and L'indépendance du Béarn, des origines à 1620. Commentaire et publication de textes ( published ud T. La vicomté de Béarn et leproblemème de sa souveraineté des origines à 1620 , Bordeaux 1961, Pau 1981, Monein 2009). Then he was a professor at the University of Bordeaux and (since its creation in 1971) at the University of Pau .
