Pietà in Le Brethon

The Pietà in the Church of St-Pierre in Le Brethon , a French parish in the Allier department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region , was created in the 15th century. In 1929 the Pietà was classified as a Monument historique .

The 75 cm high and 95 cm wide group of sculptures made of stone is colored in focus . It shows Mary on her knees with the body of Jesus . Mary has folded her hands in prayer.
