Pigeon Lake is a lake in the Canadian province of Ontario .

Pigeon Lake is an elongated lake. It measures 25 km in north-south direction. The width of the lake is 1.5 km.

The lake belongs to the Kawartha Lakes group , which was formed at the end of the last Ice Age on the southern edge of the Canadian Shield .

Pigeon Lake also forms a system of three with the two lakes to the east, Buckhorn Lake and Lake Chemong . It is connected to Buckhorn Lake by the Gannon Narrows . In the northern part of the lake is the Big Island .

To the northwest is Lock 32 of the Trent-Severn Waterway on the Bobcaygeon River . In the south the Pigeon River flows into the lake.

The following types of fish are caught in Pigeon Lake: eyeglasses , largemouth bass , black bass , muscle lung , American perch , crappie and sunfish .
