Cameron Lake is a lake in the Canadian province of Ontario .

The lake belongs to the Kawartha Lakes group of lakes . Cameron Lake is on the Trent-Severn Waterway . Lock 34 east of the lake at Fenelon Falls on the Fenelon River overcomes a difference in altitude of 7.2 m to the lower-lying Sturgeon Lake . In the west, the Rosedale River and the southern canal of the Trent-Severn waterway connect Cameron Lake with lock 35 at Rosedale , which overcomes the height difference of 1.2 m to the west and higher located Balsam Lake .

An important tributary is the Burnt River coming from the north . The Lakers Islands ( Boyd Island and Rathbun Island ) are located in Cameron Lake .

The following fish are caught in Cameron Lake: largemouth bass , black bass , glass eye bass and muscle lung .

Due to the high flow rate, Cameron Lake has no eutrophy .
