The Pik Patchor ( Russian пик Патхор ; also Qullai Patkhor ; Tajik Паххор ) is a mountain in Tajikistan in the extreme south of the Pamir Mountains .
location
The mountain is located in the southwest of the autonomous province of Berg-Badakhshan in the Nohija Rushon district . The Pik Patchor has a height of 6083 m and forms the highest point of the Ruschan chain . The Qullai Istiqlol (also Pik Independence or Pik Revolution , 6940 m ), 70 km north, forms the dominance reference point.
Ascent history
The first ascent was made by a Soviet mountaineering group in 1946 under the leadership of Yevgeny Abalakov .
