The Pillow Knob (English for pillows Knubbel ) is a 810 m high mountain in the West Antarctic Queen Elizabeth Land . In the Neptune Range of the Pensacola Mountains, it rises from the snow masses at the northeast end of the Williams Hills .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1956 to 1966. The mountain was given its descriptive name by the American geologist Dwight L. Schmidt, who was responsible for the survey in three summer campaigns between 1962 and worked in the Pensacola Mountains in 1966.
