Christos Albanis (born November 5, 1994 in Kalambaka ) is a Greek football player .

Career

society

The striker Albanis played 2011-2013 in the youth of Werder Bremen . From 2011 to 2012 he played with the U17s in the B-Juniors Bundesliga and from 2012 to 2013 with the U19s in the A-Juniors Bundesliga . In 2013 he signed his first professional contract with the second team of Eintracht Frankfurt in the regional league. After a season with 20 appearances and four goals, he moved within the league to the second team of SC Freiburg , where he again played 20 games in the 2014/15 season.
In 2015 Albanis moved to his native Greece to Apollon Smyrnis in the Greek second division. In 2017 he was promoted to the Super League with the team . In the summer of 2017, he extended his contract there by three years until 2020. Nevertheless, rumors were already loud in early 2018 that a change was imminent; not least because of his 8 goals this season in 29 league games as a left winger at Apollon. There are interested parties both domestically ( Olympiacos Piraeus , AEK Athens ) and abroad ( Nottingham Forest ). In fact, the transfer to AEK was officially announced by his new team in June 2018.The outgoing club announced this a few weeks earlier and at the same time informed that 20% of the resale rights were retained.

National team

Albanis played two games for the Greek U-18 national team in 2011 . Three years later he was part of the U-20 national team , for which he played four games.
