The Ping An International Finance Center ( Chinese 平安國際金融中心 / 平安国际金融 , Pinyin Píng'ān Guójì Jīnróng Zhōngxīn ) is a skyscraper in the Futian district of Shenzhen , the neighboring city of Hong Kong in the Chinese province of Guangdong .

The complex planned by the well-known architecture firm Kohn Pedersen Fox is to include two skyscrapers. With a projected total height of 599 meters, the main building is the fourth tallest building in the world. It replaces the Kingkey 100 as the tallest building in the city. The square floor plan is followed by 115 floors with offices and a hotel, the highest of which is around 555 meters. Above it, the building narrows on all sides and finally closes with a kind of thorn. On the highest levels there are observation decks and restaurants. The viewing platform is even higher than that of the Burj Khalifa and similar to the one on the Mecca Royal Clock Tower Hotel . Nevertheless, the title of the highest floor is reserved for the Burj Khalifa . Numerous retail stores are to be opened on the lowest floors of the building .

The Pingan International Finance Center South has been under construction opposite the main building since 2015. It should reach about 300 m.

After the construction of a more than 500 meter high skyscraper in this area of the city was planned by the client, the insurance company Ping An Insurance , in late 2010, the first preparatory work on the site began. At the beginning of 2012, the first foundation work was carried out and two construction cranes were installed in the spring . In March 2013 construction was interrupted for a short time, but then resumed after a few days.

China Construction First Building Group Corporation Ltd. is responsible for carrying out the construction work . entrusted. The building was opened at the end of March 2017.
