Pingelly is a civil parish and a shire in the Wheatbelt Region of Western Australia , on the Great Southern Highway and on the Great Southern Railway Line. It is located about 158 ​​km southeast of Perth . Her zip code is 6308.

As of the 2016 census, the parish lived around 800 people and around 1,150 across the Shire.

Pingelly is an important agricultural center in the region. Their economy is based on wheat and barley production , as well as sheep farming . The place has a primary school, a branch of the Bendigo Bank , a shopping center, a golf course and a telecentro . A bus transports students to Narrogin High School .

While the Narrogin Regional Hospital is the most important health center for the local population, there is a small hospital with 15 beds in the community .

There are several attractions in the Shire of Pingelly. The most important are the Courthouse Museum, the Observatory , the Pioneer Park and the Apex Park with a viewpoint. The astronomical observatory can be visited by prior arrangement. The Pingelly Spring & Autumn Markets take place in spring and autumn. 8 km east of Pingelly, the Moorumbine settlement was founded in 1864 and St Patrick's Anglican Church was built in 1873. The Tutanning Flora & Fauna Reserve is 14 miles to the east and is home to a collection of local plants. Of note is the Boyagin Rock Nature Reserve, 26 km northwest, with a lookout point at 50 m high Boyagin Rock, wildflowers and picnic spots.

The place is a bus stop on the line that goes up to Albany.
