Pinto (formerly Estación Miter ) is the capital of the Aguirre department in the province of Santiago del Estero in northwestern Argentina . It is 245 kilometers from the provincial capital Santiago del Estero and is connected to it via the Ruta Nacional 34 . In the classification of the municipalities of the province, it is classified as 3rd category municipality.
