Piotr Abramowicz
Piotr Abramowicz (born June 11, 1619 , † April 22, 1697 in Kraków ) was a Polish Jesuit who missioned in western Poland and Moravia, and especially in Silesia during the Polish-Swedish War .
Life
Piotr Abramowicz was born on June 11, 1619. In 1640 he entered the order. After graduating, he taught mathematics in Kalisz , Krakow and Lublin for 12 years .
In the following years he evangelized in western Poland, Silesia and Moravia.
He used his knowledge of mathematics and architecture as the construction manager of a small college in Wałcz , which he founded and directed from 1668 to 1675, and of the Jesuit Church in Poznan (today Bazylika Matki Boskiej Nieustającej Pomocy i św.Mari Magdaleny w Poznaniu ) from 1675 to 1682 .
He died in Krakow on April 22, 1697.
