Piotr Pustelnik (born July 12, 1951 in Łódź ) is a Polish extreme mountaineer . He has climbed all 14 eight-thousanders . His regular climbing partner was Piotr Morawski until his death. Together with Peter Hámor they were referred to as Three Peters ( English for 'three Peter').

By profession he is a research assistant at the Institute for Process Engineering and Environmental Technology at the Technical University of Łódź . He is a doctor of chemistry.

Ascent of the eight-thousanders

Pustelnik began his career as an extreme mountaineer in the Karakoram when he climbed Gasherbrum II in 1990, together with Wanda Rutkiewicz . In 1997 he stood on this mountain a second time. In 1992 he reached the summit of Nanga Parbat . A year later he was able to climb two eight-thousanders in one year with the Cho Oyu and the Shisha Pangma . This was followed by Dhaulagiri (1994), Mount Everest (1995), the K2 (1996) and Gasherbrum I (1997). He was on both Gasherbrums within six days that year. In 2000 he stood on the highest point of the Lhotse , the following year on that of the Kangchenjunga . In 2002 he was able to climb Makalu , a year later Manaslu . In 2005 he reached the pre-summit of Broad Peak , on whose main summit he stood in 2006. In the same year he was also able to climb the eastern side summit of Annapurna. He was able to climb the main summit of Annapurna in 2010.
