The Pirdop Gap (English; Bulgarian Пирдопска порта Pirdopska porta ) is a between 260 and 375 m high mountain pass in the eastern part of Bowles Ridge on Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It lies between Maritsa Peak and Atanasoff Nunatak and leads from the Struma Glacier in the north to the Huron Glacier in the south. It is part of the overland route between the middle section of the Huron Glacier and the upper section of the Kaliakra Glacier .
Bulgarian scientists mapped it while surveying the Tangra Mountains between 2004 and 2005. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2005 after the town of Pirdop in central Bulgaria .
