The Maritsa Peak (English; Bulgarian връх Марица wrach Mariza ) is a 560 m high mountain on Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . In Bowles Ridge it rises 3.1 km east of Mount Bowles , 1.1 km west-southwest of Atanasoff Nunatak , 5.7 km east-northeast of the main summit of Plíska Ridge , 6.45 km northeast of Mount Friesland and 2.5 km northeast of the Kuzman Knoll up. The Huron Glacier is south of it.
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named the mountain in 2002 after the Maritsa , a river in Bulgaria .
