The Pirenga ( Russian Пиренга ) is a river in Murmansk Oblast in Russia .

Originally the river had a length of 8.5 km and drained the lake Lower Pirenga ( Нижняя Пиренга ). The river was shortened accordingly by building a barrier structure at river kilometer 3.4. Today the Pirenga forms the 3.4 km long drain from the Pirengskoje reservoir to the Imandra Lake to the east . The Pirenga drains a catchment area with an area of 4260 km².

The Pirenga settlement of the same name is located south of the river. The M18 trunk road crosses the Pirenga near its mouth.
