Pishchanyj Brid ( Ukrainian Піщаний Брід ; Russian Песчаный Брод Pestschany Brod ) is a village in the west of the Ukrainian Oblast Kirovohrad with 2900 inhabitants (2001).
The village, founded in 1859 on the banks of the Chornyj Taschlyk , is the administrative center of the district council of the same name in Dobrovelychkivka district . The district council also includes the villages Wesnjanka ( Веснянка ), Krykunka ( Крикунка ), Nowa Kowaliwka ( Нова Ковалівка ) and Peremoha ( Перемога ). Pishchanyj Brid is located on the territorial roads T-12-14 and T-15-04 17 km southeast of the district center Dobrowelychkivka and 40 km southeast of Kropywnyzkyj .
Personalities
The Ukrainian anarchist and partner of Nestor Machno Galina Agafja Andrejewna Kuzmenko was born in the village in 1892 .
