Pit Müller

Hans-Peter "Pit" Müller (born May 26, 1942 in Lüneburg ; † February 21, 2017 ) was a German jazz musician ( cornet , trumpet ).

Müller did an apprenticeship as an instrument maker and first played the trombone before switching to the cornet. He led his own bands such as Pit Müller's Jazz Haufen , Status Quo and S'Pit Fire . Between 1982 and 1994 he was a member of the Allotria Jazz Band , with whom he released various albums. Then he performed with the Bavarian Jazz Cats ( It was always so nice with you , 1997) and directed Pit Müller's Hot Stuff . He also played with Peanuts Hucko , Harold Ashby , Jimmie Rivers , Billy Butterfield , Trummy Young , Warren Vaché , Joe Newman and Major Holley .
