description

In addition to a 13-meter-high cube, which was designed with a grid size of 1.68 × 1.68 m, the 40-meter-high bell tower, like the steel structure of the church, stands free. The church building is characterized by the fact that it has no windows - the outer walls between the steel supports consist of 888 slabs of Greek marble with a thickness of 28 mm, which are translucent and thus illuminate the interior. The top wreath made of marble slabs and the marble panels of the doors are only 20 mm thick and therefore appear lighter from the inside. From the outside the building looks pale white to bluish, inside the color impression of the light is ocher yellow to bright orange, whereby the respective outside light conditions play a role for the different color impression.

The church interior stands on a plinth that compensates for the gently sloping terrain. A chapel is housed here, which is dedicated to St. Theresa of the Child Jesus .

At the rear of the rectangular church hall there is a massive concrete gallery, under which there is a passage to the church, the sacristy and a storage room for chairs. The gallery carries the organ with 35 registers on three manuals and pedal , which was installed in 1969 by Orgelbau Graf AG from Sursee and overhauled in 2001. Five bells hang in the tower from the Erdinger bell foundry near Munich.
