The Piz de Cressim , also called Piz de Roggione , is 2575  m above sea level. M. high border summit and belongs to the Lepontine Alps .

location

The Piz de Cressim is located on the border between Switzerland and Italy . On its west side is the Val Cama (Switzerland) and on the east side the Valle Bodengo (Italy).

The mountain peak is in the area of ​​the municipality of Lostallo , in the Misox district in the Italian-speaking part of the canton of Graubünden . The highest three-thousand near the Piz Corbet / Pizzo Sevino with 3025  m above sea level. M. meter. The Piz de Cressim is known for its panorama in the southern Misox. At the summit, the three valleys Val Cama, Val d'Arbola and the Italian Val Bodengo come together.

Routes

On the ascent route from Cama through the Val di Cama lies Lake Cama (Lagh de Cama) at 1265  m above sea level. M. the open in July and August and farmed mountain hut Capanna Miralago.

The summit can be reached in around 4 hours from the huts on Lake Cama. The ascent is partly pathless and requires familiarity with exposed terrain and good orientation skills. With a level of difficulty of T4 – T5 according to the SAC hiking scale , it is only recommended for experienced mountain hikers. The Piz Cresim is known as a remote climbing mountain.
