Pizzi dei Vanni

The Pizzi dei Vanni are a mountain with double peaks in the Swiss canton of Graubünden .

The two peaks are in the municipality of Bregaglia on the border between Italy and Switzerland . The main peak reaches a height of 2774  m above sea level. M. , the sub-peak Pizzo dei Vanni Occidentale about 400 meters west of it 2722  m above sea level. M.

The mountain lies between the crossings Bocchetta della Tegiola (Teggiola) in the west and Passo della Trubinasca in the east.

On the night of November 30th to December 1st, 1944, several hundred Italian partisans of the 55ª Brigata Garibaldi "Fratelli Rosselli" sought refuge in Switzerland via the Bocchetta della Tegiola , where they were interned .
