The Pizzo d'Intermesoli , formerly also called Monte Grillo , is a mountain in the western part of the Gran Sasso d'Italia , a mountain group of the Apennines in Italy. With a height of 2635 meters, it is the third highest mountain in this region after Corno Grande and Corno Piccolo . From north to south you can cross the summit on a variant of the Gran Sasso d'Italia path no.1 (1B). To the east of Pizzo d'Intermesoli is the central massif of Gran Sasso d'Italia, formed from the three peaks of Corno Grande and the rock massif of Corno Piccolo. In the west is the Monte Corvo , south of the Pizzo Cefalone . The yoke "Sella dei Grilli" (2220 m) between Pizzo Cefalone and Pizzo d'Intermesoli also reminds of the old name of the mountain. From here you can get to the Campo Pericoli basin or via the Valle Venacquare to the western part of the Gran Sasso d'Italia.

At the foot of the east side of Pizzo d'Intermesoli are "Il Pilastri" (German: The pillars), a series of five rock pillars made of solid limestone. There are over 50 climbing routes of up to 400 m in length and with difficulties up to VIII- ( UIAA ), z. B. Route Forza 17 on the third pillar.
