Planeil valley
The Planeil Valley , also simply called Planeil , is an orographically left side valley of the Vinschgau or upper Adige Valley in South Tyrol . It branches off at the Malser Haide in a north-easterly direction and leads into the Planeiler Mountains , a subgroup of the Ötztal Alps . There are numerous three-thousand-meter peaks , including the Rabenkopf ( 3394 m ), the Falbanairspitze ( 3199 m ) and the Danzebell ( 3148 m ). The Planeil valley is drained by the Puni , a tributary of the Adige . The only village in the valley is Planeil at 1599 m above sea level near the valley exit. Administratively, the entire Planeiltal belongs to the municipality of Mals .
