Platanos ( Greek Πλάτανος ( m. Sg. )) Is a village in the Greek region of western Greece . Until 2010 Platanos also formed an independent municipality in the Aetolia-Acarnania prefecture . On January 1, 2011, this parish was merged with five others to form the new parish of Nafpaktia , where Platanos has since formed a parish.
