The Platte is a wooded hill in the Fichtel Mountains . It is located in the southern part of the Kohlwald , north of Waldsassen in the Upper Palatinate . Its summit is 577 m above sea level. NN .
geography
In the southwestern valley to the neighboring Glasberg runs the trout stream , which is 566 m above sea level. NN rises in the Dreibrunnen area and, after a short course, flows northeast of Waldsassen into the Wondreb .
history
In earlier years there was an important road to Eger ( Cheb ) on the east side .
Buildings
Also in earlier years there were coal piles for iron smelting in Arzberg (Upper Franconia) . To the northwest of the summit is the Trinity Church of Kappl .
