The testicular plexus (from Latin plexus for "braid" and testis "testicle") is a nerve plexus that runs along the testicular artery to the testicle . The plexus is formed from fibers from the coelial ganglia and the aorticorenalia ganglia and contains predominantly sympathetic fibers. Together with fibers from the renal plexus and partly from the inferior hypogastric plexus , it is used to regulate blood flow to the testicles and innervate the smooth muscles of the tunica albuginea. The testicular plexus also innervates the vas deferens to a small extent , which is mainly supplied by the deferential plexus , and also releases fibers to the epididymis .
