Domain furnishing markets
The Domain furnishing markets were a furniture store chain , they emerged from the original split of the carpet Domain Harste . The other chain from this split is now called Tedox .
In 2008 there was a merger with the Poco company to form Poco Domain Einrichtungsmärkte GmbH & Co. KG (today: Poco Einrichtungsmärkte GmbH ).
history
In 1972, Karl-Heinz Rehkopf and Rainer Wunderlich founded the company Carpets Domain Harste GmbH & Co. KG in an estate (hence the name "Domain"). The first store opened in Harste in the same year and initially sold overproduction of carpets, and later also other DIY store product ranges. In 1986, the two company founders separated. Rehkopf continued to run the Harste carpet domain, which specializes in floor coverings and home textiles and now operates as tedox , while Wunderlich changed the concept towards furniture with its new managing director Helmut Reitz. In the last 34 branches, the furnishing markets domain mainly offered goods in the lower and middle price segment in the areas of furniture , lights , carpets , home textiles, wallpapers and hardware store items . The entire range comprised around 14,000 items. Managing partners since 1997 were Helmut Reitz and Dr. Hans Ralf Großkord with a total of 32%.
In 2002, a close cooperation was agreed with Poco in purchasing goods.
In 2005, 68% of the company shares were sold by Rainer Wunderlich Holding GmbH & Co. KG , which managed the shares of the late company founder Rainer Wunderlich, to the Austrian Lutz Group .
In autumn 2007 these 68% were sold on by the Lutz Group to the Poco Group based in Bergkamen , which shortly thereafter made the furniture store domain disappear from the market. Since then, the company has been history.

The Domain Einrichtungsmärkte GmbH & Co. KG was a subsidiary of the Domain Gruppe GmbH & Co. KG based in Hardegsen near Göttingen . A central warehouse was located in Trebbin near Berlin and supplied the branches in this region.
