Podskalí (German rattles ) is a group of houses belonging to Děčín XIII - Loubí (arbor) in the Czech Republic .

Geographical location

The small town is located directly on the right bank of the Elbe , at the confluence of a steep valley, on a high debris cone, north of Děčín in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains . On the opposite bank of the Elbe, the deep bottom of the Tschirte (Čertova voda) flows into the Elbe valley. South of it are the houses of Prostřední Žleb (middle ground).

history

Rasseln formed a district of Laube from the beginning, which arose from the Laubengrund north of Tetschen, which was sold to the city of Tetschen in 1511 in order to create new pastureland for the city's cattle. The first houses were built here after the Thirty Years' War. In 1833 21 houses and 119 inhabitants were counted in Arbor and Rasseln. The increasing tourism in the 19th century caused an increase in arbor and rattle. Until 1945 the Gasthaus Zur Waldesruh in Rasseln was a popular excursion destination . With the increasing motor vehicle traffic on the connecting road between the border and Tetschen, however, more and more guests stayed away.
