The Pivka ([ pjuˈka ], German: Poik ) is a remarkable river in Slovenia .
The source of the Pivka - Izvir Pivke - is located on the eastern edge of the municipality of Zagorje. The source stream flows past the place Pivka and takes on several other streams. The river disappears in an impressive way at Postojna in the Postojna Caves , which have been a regional attraction for centuries and today a tourist attraction.
