PokerStars Players Championship
The PokerStars Players Championship , or PSPC for short , is a poker tournament hosted by PokerStars . It has a buy-in of 25,000 US dollars and is the largest poker event in this price range.
Story and mode
The tournament in the variant No-Limit Hold'em was first introduced in January 2019 at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in the Bahamas played, the buy-in was 25,000 dollars . In March 2020 it was named "Event of the Year 2019" with a Global Poker Award . The second event at the European Poker Tour in Barcelona has been announced for August 2020, with an entry fee of 22,500 euros . Due to the COVID-19 pandemic , however, the planned event was postponed to 2021 in May 2020. In the run-up to the tournament, you can win a so-called “Platinum Pass” at the live tournament series from PokerStars and online , which entitles you to participate in the tournament and also covers flight and hotel costs. The event is a pure freeze-out , so players cannot buy-in again after being eliminated.
