from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The European polo championship is a non-annual sporting event in which the European polo champion is determined. The organizer is the World Polo Association (FIP).

The first European polo championship took place in St. Moritz in 1993 . Until 1999 the tournament was held every two years, from 1999 to 2008 every three years and since then again every two years. With six wins, a second place and a third place, England has been the most successful nation at the European Polo Championships so far. In second place in the statistics is France with two title wins.

From April 28 to May 7, 2017, a special European polo championship for women was held in Chantilly (F) for the first time.
