The Polska Rada Biznesu (German: Polish Economic Council ) is a Polish association of owners and boards of large companies with Polish or foreign capital. The association was founded on May 30, 1992 in Kielce ; The seat of the club established by the association in January 1997 is in a renovated palace in Warsaw . Private and business meetings of the members take place here on a regular basis.

The founders of the association wanted to create an institution that would be available to politicians and administrators as a point of contact for economic issues. This builds on personal contacts between members and decision-makers in governments. The association is apolitical. In January 1999 the members of the association decided to support the establishment of Polska Konfederacja Pracodawców Prywatnych Lewiatan to represent their interests as an employer . In April 2012, the annual Nagroda PRB prize named after the deceased association co-founder and first president Jan Wejchert was awarded for the first time . Jana Wejcherta awarded.

The current president is Zbigniew Niemczycki . Janusz Jankowiak is the chief economist of the association .

Founding members:

The guests of honor invited to the founding event were Samuel Maury, the managing director of the US Business Roundtable, and Barbara Lundberg, the head of the American Enterprise Fund at the time .
