Pomerania Nostra

The German - Polish Pomerania Nostra Prize is a binational award for special merits in art, literature, science, politics or business for Western Pomerania and the West Pomeranian Voivodeship .

The prize, which was awarded for the first time in 2003, is sponsored by the universities of Greifswald and Stettin and the editorial offices of the daily newspapers Nordkurier and Kurier Szczeciński (Stettiner Kurier). In 2009 the cities of Greifswald and Stettin joined the group of donors.

The Pomerania Nostra Prize is presented every two years alternately in Greifswald and Stettin or in a city selected by the relevant university. It is endowed with 3,000 euros.
