Pond is a psychedelic rock band from Perth that formed in 2008 (not to be confused with Pond from Portland, USA). The line-up was constantly changing, with core members being Kevin Parker, Jay Watson and Nick Allbrook (all three with Tame Impala , among others ), Joseph Ryan ( Mink Mussel Creek ) and Jamie Terry ( The Silents ).

history

Pond was founded in 2008 in the Australian city of Perth within a musical circle of friends whose members, with changing line- ups , produced bands such as The Dee Dee Dums , GUM , Mink Mussel Creek , Space Lime Peacock , Rabbit Island and Tame Impala . Everyone played more or less in every band.

After the success of Tame Impala's Innerspeaker album , Pond's album Beard, Wives, Denim, recorded in 2010, also became the focus of media attention and was finally released in 2012.

On June 28, 2012, Pond played one of the most important inspirations for Pond together with Damo Suzuki , the former singer of the band Can .
