Pont de Moret-sur-Loing
The Pont de Moret-sur-Loing is a bridge in Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne , a town in the Seine-et-Marne department of the Île-de-France region , originally built in the 14th century. The bridge over the Loing River is a protected architectural monument ( Monument historique ).
The first bridge in Moret-sur-Loing, which led to the city gate Porte de Bourgogne , was built in the 14th century with pointed arches . In the last third of the 19th century it was reinforced with concrete using the François Coignet method .
On August 24, 1944, the bridge was blown up by withdrawing German troops , and it was restored after the Second World War . The last restoration took place in 1993.
