The Ponte di Pioraco is a Roman bridge in Pioraco , Macerata Province ( central Italy ).
The structure, presumably built under Augustus , belonged to a side street of the Via Flaminia , which ran from Nocera Umbra in an easterly direction via Pioraco, San Severino , Treia and Osimo to Ancona . The bridge consists of a single arched vault, on the side of which there is a small segmental arch that rises from the floor and reaches halfway up the main arch; the auxiliary arch serves to relieve the ramp.
The Ponte del Gran Caso , also in central Italy, has a similar structure.
