Porfirio Herrera Báez

Porfirio Herrera Báez (born November 8, 1915 in San Pedro de Macorís ) is a former Dominican lawyer and diplomat.

Career

Herrera Báez graduated from Santo Domingo University in 1938 with a degree in International Law and International Relations from Columbia University in New York in 1941 .

From 1956 to 1961 he was Foreign Minister of the Dominican Republic and in the government of Joaquín Balaguer from 1960 to 1961 Chancellor. He then served as ambassador in several countries: from 1961 to 1962 to the Holy See , 1963 in Great Britain, from 1972 to 1975 in Portugal and from 1975 in Italy.
