The Port de Brest is a French seaport in Brest (Finistère) in the Brittany region on the North Atlantic . It is located in the Bay of Brest on the southern outskirts and is connected to the Atlantic Ocean by the Strait of Brest .
The operator and administrator is the local Chamber of Commerce and Industry de Brest (CCI Brest).
The port consists of a civil and a military part ( Brest naval base of the French Navy). General cargo, bulk cargo and containers are handled in the port. It is also a fishing and cruise port.
