Porte des Lilas - Cinéma is a station of the Métro Paris that has been closed to passenger traffic since 1956 and is one of the many ghost stations in Paris . It served as a location for numerous Hollywood films (e.g. in 3 Days to Kill as station Ségur ) and French films (in The fabulous world of Amélie as station Abbesses ). The station is located at the connection of line 3bis to the operating tracks Voie navette and Voie des Fêtes and is officially run as station B of the transfer and terminus Porte des Lilas .

description

Porte des Lilas - Cinéma is a station with the usual equipment (with white tiles and two paths): In addition, it has a track , which is accessible for vehicles with rubber tires , and a normal track. The stairs that lead to the platforms are closed with metal doors.

Filming

The stage design and especially the nameplates of the station are adapted to the respective film in order to transform the station into another station for the duration of the shooting. The frames of the poster advertisements were painted dark blue so that they can later be edited on the computer using blue screen technology .

The price for renting the station as a filming location is on average between € 15,000 and € 18,000, but it can vary depending on the length of the filming and the complexity of the scene (e.g. use of metro trains). The RATP demands compensation of € 200,000 in the event that the filming is canceled. Most of the films that are set in the Métro were shot in the station.

planning

In the event of a possible merging of line 3bis with line 7bis , the Voie navette would again function as a regular stretch of the line and take over the function originally intended. The merging of the two lines into a future line 15 is planned in the master plan for the capital region of Ile-de-France from 2013, the time frame extends beyond 2030.
