Positive Strike is a hardcore punk band from Castrop-Rauxel .
history
Positive Strike was founded in 2003 by Benjamin Werner ( vocals ), Michael Hahn ( drums ), Daniel Horstkötter ( guitar ) and Christoph Babetzki ( bass ) initially under the name NO STAKES TOO HIGH, which was soon replaced by the current band name. Inspired by hardcore punk bands from the 1980s and 1990s, the band relies primarily on energetic live shows. In 2004 Michael Hahn left the band for personal reasons and was replaced by Simon Werner. In 2010 Christoph Babetzki had to leave the band for personal reasons and was replaced by Thomas Wehrmann.
Since 2002 three demos (self-distribution) and an LP ( Positive Strike ; published on Horror Business Records ) have been released. Around 100 live concerts have been played since it was founded. a. with well-known bands such as Have Heart , Verse , Another Breath , The Promise , Common Enemy , Vitamin X and AYS (Against Your Society) . After 2011 there was little activity in the band, but it has not broken up to this day.
