Three private German postal companies operated under the name PostModern . Currently (as of March 2014) PostModern is only available in the Dresden area .

PostModern Dresden

The private letter service of Media Logistik GmbH from Saxony has been operating under the PostModern brand since 2006 . PostModern picks up mail from business customers, stamps them and delivers them the following day. Private individuals can also use this service provider via its red mailboxes. The delivery of letters and parcels has been possible for private individuals throughout Germany since January 1, 2011. For business customers, it is still limited to postcode areas 0 and 1 as well as 38, 39, 98 and 99. This covers almost the entire area of ​​the new federal states and Berlin . One of the cooperation partners is the Ostsächsische Sparkasse Dresden , which sells postage stamps and has PostModern post boxes at their branches. The same goes for many gas stations.

PostModern itself states that the items thrown into the red mailboxes will be delivered within Saxony on the next working day after the mailboxes are emptied. Nationwide, delivery usually takes no more than two to three working days.

Media Logistik GmbH

Since 1999, the Media Logistik GmbH is Dresden working as a local mail provider in the Dresden area. The company is a joint venture between Dresdner Druck- und Verlagshaus GmbH & Co. KG (DD + V media group, see Sächsische Zeitung # Verlag ) and Fiege Logistik AG . The focus of business activity lies in the areas of distribution logistics for newspapers and postal services. In fiscal 2012, the Media Logistik GmbH employed 154 employees, revenue generated revenues in the amount of 43.8 million euros and a net profit of 3.0 million euros.

Postage stamps

PostModern is one of the postal companies in Germany that issues its own, predominantly self-adhesive stamps . PostModern also regularly issues special stamp editions that accompany regional events in Dresden and Saxony.

PostModern Chemnitz

PostModern Chemnitz was a brand of WVD Postservice-Partner Chemnitz GmbH, which ceased operations on October 1, 2008. From 2006 on, Media Logistik GmbH (Dresden) and WVD Postservice-Partner Chemnitz GmbH cooperated with each other.

postmodern - the business letter service

postmodern - Until June 30, 2005, the business letter service was a private postal company in Frankfurt am Main . It was taken over by the postal service provider MainBrief from Frankfurt am Main. MainBrief, for its part, had to file for bankruptcy in 2006 and ceased operations in June of that year.

Delivery was limited to the Rhine-Main and Rhine-Neckar areas or the postcode areas: 55, 60, 64, 65, 67, and 68.
