The Powell Point is a headland on the Ingrid Christensen Coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth country . In the Vestfoldberg area , it marks the southern boundary of the entrance to the Langnes Fjord on the north side of the Breidnes Peninsula .
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named them in 1973 after Owen G. Powell, a weather observer at Davis Station in 1970.
