Power of Expression was a German metal band from Dortmund that was founded in 1994.

history

The band was formed in 1994 after members of the hardcore band Urge together with the Morgoth singer Marc Grewe full album The Power of expression of Bl'ast coverten on a concert. The Lost & Found label became aware of the band and the songs were released as an album. After further appearances, the band developed their own songs. This was followed by other tours. In 1995 the EP Water was released as a foretaste of the upcoming album. That one, titled X-Territorial and containing its own material, followed in the first days of January 1996 through Century Media . It was voted album of the month by Rock Hard . The release was followed by appearances with Bolt Thrower and Stuck Mojo, among others . The band has now broken up.

style

The band played thrash metal mixed with hardcore in the style of bands like Gang Green and Pro-Pain . The branch organ MusikWoche assigned the music to hardcore, but the vocals to death metal . The Ox-Fanzine compares the band with groups like Pantera and Biohazard .
